We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to actively manage, motivate and lead a team, meet business and operational targets, and develop team member’s potential to excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop themselves further in a fast-paced environment. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure targets are being met by staff. Lead the team whilst developing team members to achieve excellence.
  • Plan, organise and prioritise workload for self and others, demonstrating effective delegation skills, where necessary
  • Regularly assess staff against performance criteria and take appropriate action as necessary. This includes the use of absence and disciplinary procedures, and ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Exercise effective coaching to motivate and develop individuals and the team as a whole
  • Keep the team up to date on information and setting own personal example
  • Identify and prepare for known and potential peaks and troughs in work
  • Carefully schedule and balance own time to ensure all aspects of own responsibility are met
  • Quickly and effectively adapt plans to accommodate changes in circumstances
  • Anticipate problems and take independent action to avoid them
  • Monitor and measure KPI’s and reporting on them
  • Anticipate problems and make a contribution to overall planning. Be in tune with the bigger picture.
  • Keep the team motivated and challenged, so that they continue to achieve their objectives on a day-to day basis.

Experience/Qualifications/Skills

Essential:

  • Warehouse management system experience (e.g. Navision)
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Excellent people skills and experience of managing a large team across different shift patterns
  • Ability to keep a calm, professional manner and work well under pressure
  • Kelio time and attendance or similar
  • Staff planning across multi shifts and 7 days per week operation including flexible holidays

Preferred:

  • Experience of Project Management
  • Experience of Continuous improvement
  • Using Lean methodologies
  • NEBOSH/IOSH
  • Lean
