Hotter are currently recruiting for a Mid-Weight Digital Designer to optimise our brand presence across all digital channels, and deliver impactful digital design solutions to achieve our customer and commercial objectives. 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Design and Development:

  • Work independently, and with the creative team, to translate campaign and activity briefs into digital design.
  • Develop and produce best in class digital artwork across website, app, emails, display and social advertising.
  • Continuously seek to improve the company’s approach to digital design by keeping up to date with trends, best practices, digital advancements, and competitors.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative process.
  • Ensure all work is delivered to brief and on time.
  • Work closely with the creative team to deliver market leading creative of a consistently high standard.

Relationship Management:

  • Work with the marketing and ecommerce team on learnings and insights to adapt and enhance future designs.
  • Working closely with the creative team to deliver market leading creative of a consistently high standard, guiding &training junior team members in best in class digital design practices.
  • Work closely with the online ecommerce teams as well as other teams across the business to ensure common goals are achieved and a successful cohesive brand identity is portrayed.
  • Positively support other areas of the team and workloads where required to meet business and team objectives

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Delivery of seasonal, and in season, campaign assets on time & to brief

Skills, Know-How and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in design or relevant field preferred
  • Minimum of circa 4+ yrs professional experience, in-house or agency.
  • Experience across the following tool suite;
  • -Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • -UX Design for responsive web, with a mobile first design approach
  •  -HTML & CSS, with skills in HTML5, CSS3 & responsive frameworks such as Foundation
  • -Content management systems (CMS) such as Amplience and WordPress
  • A strong design portfolio demonstrating all types of digital design (website, emails, display, social, animated content) across various customer touch points within the ecom/ retail industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, being able to influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience working with traditional print methods and an understanding of layout principles

Technical/Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in design or relevant field preferred
